Foster A Giving Spirit

In the spirit of Crayola's mission to "help parents and educators raise creatively alive children," the Crayola Community Engagement program is designed to enrich the lives of families in the communities where our employees live and work.

The intent of the Crayola philanthropy program is to support local nonprofit organizations and schools that nurture and foster creativity in children and ensure that children have their basic physical and emotional needs met.

Most of our philanthropy program is focused in and around the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania where our corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations are based. Crayola locations in other parts of the United States and outside the United States coordinate involvement by their employees within their local communities.

In Lehigh and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania and Phillipsburg/Warren County, New Jersey, Crayola provides cash grants and in-kind product donations to organizations that fall within the categories of The Arts, Education, Health and Welfare, and Civic Affairs.

Crayola Funding Requests

Crayola provides cash grants to schools and nonprofit organizations in Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania and Phillipsburg/Warren County, New Jersey. Funding is made available for specific programs rather than general operational support. Additional consideration is given to schools and nonprofit organizations in which employees serve in a volunteer capacity.

Crayola Art in Education Grants: For educators and schools, Art In Education Grants are awarded to individual educators or teams of educators (K–8) working across subject/disciplines areas to infuse visual arts into the curriculum. The Crayola Art in Education Grant encourages creative innovation and excellence in classroom teaching.

Grant Limits: Individual educators are eligible for a maximum grant of $250 cash and in-kind product match; a team of educators are eligible for a maximum grant of $500 cash and in-kind product match. Crayola Community Grants

For nonprofit organizations, Community Grants are awarded to organizations that provide artistic and educational opportunities for children and address issues of health, welfare and civic affairs. While most Crayola Community Grants provide programmatic support, some grants may include sponsorship requests.

A Crayola Community Grant can range between $500–$10,000; the funding request should reflect the reasonable cost of program delivery. More details regarding grant requirements can be found on the Crayola Community Grant application.
